In 1969, Dr. Zubick joined the staff at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and developed the Speech and Hearing Division. In 1979, the hospital became the first academic medical institution in New England to dispense hearing aids under quality-controlled, peer-reviewed guidelines. Dr. Zubick opened his own private practice in 1983 and continued to direct the Speech and Hearing Division at the Brigham and Women's Hospital until 1998. At that time, he entered into a full-time private practice in clinical audiology and hearing aid dispensing.
